Following their dominant nine-wicket victory over St Paul's on day one, Epsom's second victory sends them top of the league table
A classy innings of 76* (60) from Alfie Haxton sent Epsom College on their way to an impressive total of 122 for 2, the highest innings score so far in The Cricketer Schools 100 tournament.
Haxton’s effort, which included 12 fours and one six, was also the highest individual score of this year’s competition, four games in.
Sahil Sheth (15 off 22) played a steady hand at the other end, as Epsom’s opening partnership passed fifty.
When Sheth was bowled by Will Turner, Ollie Waugh and Alex Chambers were the next to provide assistance to Saxton as Epsom bulldozed their way past the 100-run barrier.
Up against a controlled bowling effort, Bloxham struggled in reply with Turner - who struck two sixes - the only batter reaching double figures (19) in a team effort of 74 for 9.
Epsom shared the wickets around with six different bowlers striking, including Ben Van Emden who added another two the three he picked up against St Paul’s School on day one.
Following their dominant nine-wicket victory over St Paul’s, Epsom’s win makes it two wins from two and sends them top of the league table.
