The Dorset school ran out convincing 10-wicket winners over Bloxham School on the first game of day two of the 100-ball tournament in Spain
Canford School put down an early statement in their first game of The Cricketer Schools 100 competition at a sunny Desert Springs.
The Dorset school ran out convincing 10-wicket winners over Bloxham School on the first game of day two of the 100-ball tournament in Spain.
After Canford won the toss and decided to bowl first, Bloxham struggled against persistent bowling on a dry surface. No batter made it into double figures as Kit Blomfield took 3 for 3, Tom Barrett 2 for 5, Gabe Davui 2 for 6 and Raffi Organ 2 for 9.
Canford made short work of the total, chasing down their target in just 25 balls – before the end of the Powerplay – to deal a huge boost to their net run-rate.
George Guirdham led the way with 25 not out.
