I got 17 and was pleased to get that. it has got the day off to a good start. I only thought of the Nourse combination at the last moment. England provide a healthy proportion, perhaps a reflection of the respect selectors have had for experience. It is interesting to reflect that Geoff Boycott was also the only player at 40 or above to score a ton vs West Indies with their four-man pace attack (four or five months after his 40th birthday). He got to the three figure mark, a match after picking up 0 and 1. That shows character and skill.
