An unnamed member of a Pakistan Super League squad has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating, three days before the tournament is scheduled to resume.

The individual, nor the team he represents, has been disclosed by tournament organisers.

As a result, the rest of the playing squad has undergone a test for coronavirus, all of which came back negative.

In order to be available to return to training and participate in the competition, the player must return two negative tests for the virus.

Several players including James Vince and Mamadullah have already been forced to withdraw due to testing positive for Covid-19.

Following a seven-month delay due to the global pandemic, the fifth PSL is scheduled to get back underway in Karachi on November 14.

Karachi Kings face Multan Sultans in for a place in the final, followed by Lahore Qalandars taking on Peshawar Zalmi.

The next day sees a second Eliminator, before the final rounds off the tournament on November 17.
