Each side will be able to pick two supplementary players for PSL7 in addition to those players selected in the draft on December 12
The size of the Pakistan Super League squads for the 2022 tournament has been expanded from 18 to 20 players.
Earlier in December, the six teams retained up to eight players from their existing squads before completing their line-ups at the player draft on December 10.
However, the tournament organisers have now awarded each side an extra two supplementary picks for PSL7.
Karachi Kings will be the first team to select an additional player, followed by Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans and finally, Peshawar Zalmi. The order will be reversed for the second round, which will bring the number of supplementary players in each squad to four.
When this secondary draft will take place is yet to be confirmed but teams are believed to be allowed to select either two domestic players or one overseas and one domestic player.
PSL7 is scheduled to begin on January 27 when defending champions Multan Sultans take on Karachi Kings in Karachi.
