Talks remain ongoing with the six franchises and table-toppers Multan Sultans could yet to be awarded the title
The postponed Pakistan Super League knock-out stage could take place in November, the PCB have confirmed.
After Alex Hales reported symptoms relating to the coronavirus upon his return home, the last three matches of the competition were delayed.
Organisers are determined to complete the tournament, but the crammed cricketing calendar means finding an available window going forward could be problematic.
The PCB are understood to have identified a 10-day window in November, following the men's T20 World Cup in Australia, when the fixtures could be staged.
Talks with the six franchise owners remaining ongoing and could yet result in Multan Sultans - who finished top of the table with 14 points from their 10 matches - being awarded their maiden title.
Wasim Khan: We took every precaution we possibly we could
"But we have to first sit down and discuss the situation with all the franchise owners," PCB chief-executive Wasim Khan told the media.
"There are also suggestions that Multan Sultans which topped the points table should be declared winners or to have these remaining matches before the PSL-6 early next year."
In an effort to ensure the tournament reached a climax, matches were played behind closed doors while the knock-out stage was revised with two semi-finals and a final replacing the playoff format.
The finale was also brought forward by four days to March 18. The measures were eventually in vain after a raft of overseas players fled Pakistan as the coronavirus spread increased.
