Munro scored 58 runs off 28 balls to help his side chase 174 with 10 balls to spare
Karachi: Karachi Kings 173-7, Islamabad United 178-6 – Islamabad United won by four wickets
Colin Munro scored a rapid half-century to help Islamabad United complete a four-wicket victory over Karachi Kings.
Chasing 174, Shadab Khan's side made a nightmare start, losing Hassan Nawaz (4) and Paul Stirling (7) for single-figure knocks as they laboured to 21 for 2 inside five overs.
Munro's arrival, however, changed the complexion of the game, with the New Zealander sharing productive stands with Rassie van der Dussen (31 off 25) and Azam Khan (44 off 28) before being run out for 58 (28) in the 15th: Islamabad United 136 for 4 with 5.2 overs remaining.

Fortunately, Azam continued his own charge, blasting 15 runs off the next seven balls he faced, while Faheem Ashraf (12 off 7) and Tom Curran (10 not out off 3) also came out swinging as Islamabad United made it over the line with 10 balls to spare.
Imad Wasim (1 for 19), Mohammad Amir (2 for 30) and Muhammad Musa (2 for 48) were the wicket-takers for Karachi Kings.
Earlier, Haider Ali (59 off 45) and Sharjeel Khan (34 off 26) anchored the Kings for the first half of their innings, sharing a 77-run stand for the second wicket after James Vince's early departure.
Curran accounted for Sharjeel in the 11th over and while regular wickets disrupted their innings, explosive partnerships between Haider and Matthew Wade (35 off 26 for the third wicket) and Shoaib Malik and Irfan Khan (26 off 15 for the sixth) ensured they made it beyond the 170-mark.
Rumman Raees (2 for 26) and Ashraf (1 for 25) were the pick of the bowlers while Curran and Mohammad Wasim picked up two wickets apiece.
