The Metro Bank One Day Cup final is an event to excite county cricket fans everywhere – and, as a bonus, Trent Bridge is throwing its doors wide open to make this a game to remember off the pitch too.

As well as the mouthwatering clash between Hampshire and Worcestershire Rapids, fans will be able to find plenty of extra enjoyment at the historic Test venue, which has hosted the final for the last four years.

The ground’s library will be open throughout the day to entertain cricket bookworms and families alike, with a wide variety of children’s activities on offer to keep youngsters entertained during a full day of play.

There will also be a competition for eagle-eyed fans to identify players who represented both Nottinghamshire and one of the day’s finalists, with a big bundle of books going to the winner.

Live band and eclectic food stalls will also be found around the ground, while hospitality packages are still available for lovers of fine food and drink.

And, for history buffs, a very special heritage talk will also be taking place.

Hampshire last won the Cup in 2018 and, two years ago, were also involved in a dramatic last-ball thriller against Leicestershire, played at Trent Bridge in a feverish atmosphere, in 2023.

Whether that drama repeats itself remains to be seen, but for true lovers of county cricket, this is an event not to be missed.

Tickets start from £27, with U16s able to soak up the action for £5. Secure your seats via the Trent Bridge website here.
