But the Bristol-based company's constant commitment to evolution means it is set to maintain its reputation among cricket players at all levels.

Nye Williams, Bola co-founder and managing director, explains why his firm makes the perfect training tool for batters everywhere.

"What sets us apart from the competition is the company is quite unique," said Nye. "Professional machines should provide practice for all players at all levels – international players, county players, club players, youth, children – and it works well in all those environments."

And Bola is also at the forefront of using new technology to help cricketers making use of its bespoke machines, including the development of an APP to allow players to control the Professional machine from their mobile phones which should be available later this year.

Nye added: "We like to try and evolve the professional machine year-on-year in small ways, but not lose the familiarity that people like.
