Yorkshire is not exactly the most progressive county in England. Indeed, in the north generally there are more entrenched views of local identity than in much of the rest of the country, so it can hardly have been a great surprise for someone born and bred in that part of the world.

Crickey, what a story this has been. Toxic County hidden to many under 'we're Yorkshire' bluster. Well done George for following your nose to what stinks, when the majority of the cricket press looked the other way.
