Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket, Mick Newell, saiud: "We’ve got a block of red-ball fixtures coming up over the next couple of months that could go a long way towards shaping our season in four-day cricket."
"We may well need Luke to contribute to that – and we’re certainly likely to need him during the rest of the season with both the red and white ball. The best way for him to be as ready as he can be is by playing first team cricket, and he has a chance to do that at Northamptonshire which we welcome."
