Oval Invincibles have announced that Tom Curran and Reece Topley will be part of their squad for the inaugural edition of The Hundred in 2021.

Curran will be playing on his home ground alongside his brother and England Teammate, Sam, who was retained by Oval Invincibles last month.

Renowned for his death bowling ability in white-ball cricket, Curran has played in franchise tournaments all over the world including the IPL and Big Bash.

“I am thrilled to be playing for Oval Invincibles," Curran said. "I love playing at the Oval and it will be special to play in the first season of The Hundred at my home ground.

“I think The Hundred is an incredibly exciting competition and I’m really looking forward to it. We are building a strong squad with a number of local players which I hope will help us be successful next summer.”

Topley, Curran's England and Surrey teammate, will be lining up at the Kia Oval for Oval Invincibles.

The 26-year-old battled back from injury to feature in England's ODI series against Ireland last summer. He moved to Surrey in 2019 following spells at Essex, Hampshire and Sussex.

“It was a no brainer to stay at Oval Invincibles and I’m really pleased it has been confirmed. I’ve got some good memories of playing at the Oval already and I’m looking forward to creating some more in The Hundred next summer," said Topley.

The pair join Rory Burns and Sam Curran for 2021.
