Who’s playing?

Game one: Perth Scorchers v Sydney Sixers

Game two: Brisbane Heat v Sydney Thunder

Sydney Sixers will be out for revenge having lost the reverse fixture against Perth Scorchers in the previous round – bringing their unbeaten run to an end.

Sophie Devine was the star of the show, scoring a century to take the game away from Ellyse Perry’s Sixers. However, Perry’s side have the talent and experience to turn things around.

You mustn’t write off Scorchers entirely. Despite not gelling as a batting unit so far, they know that one or two big shifts from key players can put them right in the game to cause an upset.

Rachael Haynes’ Sydney Thunder have had two close encounters in their previous two outings, losing to Melbourne Renegades by two runs and pipping Hurricanes by a single run in their last fixture. They’ll be wanting to put in a strong performance and win convincingly this time around.

However, Heat will be up for the fight knowing that they came so close last time and with several experienced names at their disposal they have what it takes to defy the odds. After all, they are reigning champions, having won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.

Who to look out for?

Grace Harris is always a player to keep an eye on. Having struck an unbeaten 81 in the defeat to Melbourne Stars in the previous round, she has what it takes to win matches. Dont forget, she holds the record for the fastest WBBL century, reaching the feat in just 42 balls in 2018.

Lauren Smith has been useful for Sydney Thunder so far in WBBL 06. She has six wickets under her belt and her off-breaks can prove to be a real handful on her day. With best-figures of 3-26 so far, she can play her part in getting Thunder over the line.

Ashleigh Gardner has played a key role in Sixers' success so far this year. She has taken six wickets with best figures of 3-21, going along with her 84 runs which includes one half-century.
