It's a numbers game! Here The Cricketer takes a look back at some of the stats to come out of the world of cricket this week...
When he finally reached three figures on Friday, Rory Burns became the first England Test opener (not named Alastair Cook) to hit a hundred on home soil since Adam Lyth against New Zealand at Headingley, more than four years ago.
Unsurprisingly, Burns’ innings was by far his longest for England in terms of balls faced. The Surrey opener’s 133 came off 312 deliveries, 179 more than he faced when making 84 against West Indies at Bridgetown in January.
Stuart Broad’s five-wicket haul - his seventh in Ashes Tests - in Australia’s first innings at Edgbaston took his overall Ashes tally to 100 wickets. Those wickets have come in 28 matches at an average of 29.37.

Steve Smith’s century at Edgbaston was his fifth hundred in his last seven Ashes Tests. The former Test skipper struck 144 from 219 balls on his return to the side.
Smith’s knock was his ninth ton in Ashes Tests, taking him level with Greg Chappell. Only Steve Waugh (10) and Don Bradman (19) have scored more.

James Pattinson’s wicket of Jason Roy was his first in the format since February 2016. This is Pattinson’s first Test appearance since that fixture against New Zealand at Christchurch three years ago.
At Hove on Sunday, Australia’s Ellyse Perry became the first cricketer – male or female – to reach the landmarks of 1,000 T20 international runs and 100 wickets.
On Saturday, Stuart Broad faced his most deliveries in a Test match innings since July 2013. Broad put on 29 from 67 deliveries, the most balls he has absorbed in a Test since his 148-ball 65 at Trent Bridge against Australia six years ago.
