The Cricketer has partnered with County Cricket Natters to produce a series of special podcasts during the Royal London Cup.

Over the course of the next month, the Royal London Review podcast, combined with our award-winning County Hub, will bring you unrivalled coverage of all 74 group games, as well as the five knockout matches, culminating in the showpiece final at Trent Bridge on August 19.

Anchored by Natters host and The Cricketer contributor Sam Dalling, the podcast will feature Nick Friend as a regular voice, bringing his unique insight from the heart of the competition.

From Thursday, Nick will spend five weeks roaming the country’s glorious outgrounds, delivering stories of the players you may not have heard of…yet.

Southern Vipers and Hampshire star Ella Chandler will also feature frequently, while a series of exciting guest co-hosts include the BBC’s voice of Middlesex CCC Kevin Hand, Harry Everett – part of the live-stream commentary team at Somerset - and The Cricketer’s digital editor Sam Morshead.

The podcast has just one rule: it is a place to celebrate what we have got. It is not about comparisons, or one thing being better than another.

Instead, the Royal London Review will focus on a 50-over tournament loved by fans of county cricket, which in 2021 looks set to unearth stars of the future and continue the revival of outgrounds that began back in 2021.

You can find the podcast on our website, as well as by searching for The Cricketer's Cricket Club on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, TuneIn Radio and Soundcloud, and County Cricket Natters on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Buzzsprout and a host of other places.

You can follow the County Cricket Natters team on Twitter via @MattersCounty.
