Saw the 1993 Ashes game when Atherton replaced Gooch as captain. Great ground to view the Ashes with a fiercely patriotic crowd cheering on the home team.

7/15 - not bad considering I don't have Sky.a My first day's test cricket was at Edgbaston, 1973 v West Indies, first day. Despite Fredericks, Lloyd, Sobers, Kanhai, Kallicharran all batting, Windies somehow only managed 198/5 off 98 overs in the day, Fredericks batting throughout undefeated for 98. And no extra half hour to get those overs in either, that was in a strict 6 hours of playing time, real value for money in terms of balls bowled at least.

Only 14 out of 15 but pleased to get that. The only Test I have seen at Edgbaston was the first day of the 1975 Test on a school outing _ Mike Denness' last Test before he was sacked. I should have gone for Trescothick for the highest score, but went for Flintoff as he had the greatest match aggregate.
