PAKISTAN

Fakhar Zaman (0): Dismissed second ball as he was undone by some Mujeeb magic. Took a catch to dismiss Rashid Khan though. 3

Imam ul-Haq (36): He'll hate watching this one back, an ugly hoik as he charged Nabi and was stumped by Ali Khil. Was looking good beforehand. 3

Babar Azam (45): Oh Babar. An ugly shot unbecoming of a player of such grace. Played all around a straight Nabi ball. 4

Mohammad Hafeez (19 and 0-10): Nothing particularly striking from this performance from the veteran. Sliced a Mujeeb ball to point that was well caught and was used for just two overs with his spin. Like Babar a complete turnaround from New Zealand. 6

Haris Sohail (27): Got away with a nick down the legside that was not heard by the umpire. But even he fell under the spell of Rashid Khan as he was trapped plumb in front. The half-century run ended abruptly. 5

Sarfraz Ahmed (18 and one catch): Did fine with the gloves and as a captain. But his attempt to stop Imad Wasim facing Rashid Khan backfired as he lost his wicket in attempting to take a second run that was never there. 5

Imad Wasim (49* & 2-48): Bowled economically on a pitch that assisted spin a considerable amount. Got the key wicket of Rahmat Shah and steered Pakistan home to victory with a controlled unbeaten 49. Did not let the fact that he could not pick Rashid Khan faze him and hit the winning runs. 8.5

Shadab Khan (11 & 1-44): Supported Imad well in the run chase before another unnecessary run out. But stopped the Asghar Afghan onslaught. 6.5

Wahab Riaz (15* & 2-29): Everything we have come to expect from Wahab was there again, but there was an exceptional economy rate to go with it. With the bat we saw some lusty blows as he swung the game back in Pakistan's favour. 7.5

Mohammad Amir (DNB & 0-41) Surprisingly wicketless but did sneak in a maiden over. However, the bowling display belonged to another left-armer. 7

Shaheen Afridi (DNB & 4-47): Arguably bettered his New Zealand performance with a stunning four-fer. A brilliant display of fast bowling from the 19-year-old. 8.5

Shaheen's stock continues to rise on the international stage

AFGHANISTAN

Gulbadin Naib (15 & 0-73): Started brilliantly before a DRS decision saw the back of him. The decision to bowl himself at the death when he went for 18 runs in an over cost Afghanistan the game, and it was always a tough ask to defend six off the final over. 3

Rahmat Shah (35): Another batsman who got a start but then fell victim to a spinner on a turning surface. Mya be slightly disappointed with the shot he played to get out. 5

Hashmatullah Shahidi (0): One to forget for Shahidi, getting a leaning edge off Afridi to Wasim for a golden duck. Did well to hold on to the catch to dismiss Hafeez though. 3

Ikram Ali Khil (24): Peculiarly promoted up the order and a slow innings did little to vindicate the decision. Kept very well though for all of the stumpings and run outs. 5.5

Asghar Afghan (42): Why wasn't this man in the side earlier? Threatened to take Afghanistan to a sizeable score before being snared by Shadab. 6.5

Mohammad Nabi (16 & 2-23): Perhaps not the best display with the bat, but was exceptional with the ball, getting both Imam and Babar to put the pressure right on Pakistan. 6.5

Najibullah Zadran (42): Another slap-bang innings that was troubling Pakistan before Shaheen Afridi came back to get his man. 6

Samiullah Shinwari (19* & 0-32): Slow innings as Pakistan fought their way back into it, and struggled to get a lot of the strike late on. For a part timer offered a lot of control with the ball though. 6

Rashid Khan (8 & 1-50): Bowled better than his figures deserved but was unusually poor in the field and with the bat. Imad Wasim couldn't pick in and no one could in all honesty. 5.5

Hamid Hassan (1 & 0-13): Short innings before injury struck upon the completion of his second over. A potentially sad end to his ODI career. 4

Mujeeb Ur Rahman (7* & 2-34): Magic. This man went for just two fours and bamboozled Fakhar which set the tone. 6
