England v Sri Lanka: 2021 T20, ODI fixtures

England will kick-off their 2021 summer fixture schedule with a two-Test series against New Zealand.

Kane Williamson's men will return to British shores for the first time since the 2019 World Cup final, playing five-day matches at Lord's (June 2-6) and Edgbaston (June 10-14).

The series could act as preparation for the inaugural World Test Championship final scheduled for this year and is preceded by a tour match against Somerset at Taunton. The Kiwis are currently second in the table, with the top two qualifying for the Lord's finale.

Sri Lanka's white-ball tour has also been expanded, with three T20s coming before the ODIs between the two nations. They will also face Kent (June 18) and Sussex (June 20) in two warm-up fixtures at Canterbury and Hove.

Sophia Gardens will host the first two matches on June 23 and 24, before The Ageas Bowl staged the concluding contest.

Pakistan were also due in England for three ODIs and a trio of T20, prior to a five-Test series against India.

ECB chief executive Tom Harrison said: "The prospect of our England men’s team taking on the world’s two top-ranked Test nations in New Zealand and India this summer is something for us all to savour."

Elsewhere, the England Visually Impaired team's Ashes series against Australia has yet to be confirmed due to discussions regarding Covid-19 concerns.
