No player took more T20 international wickets in 2019 than the 22-year-old, who will be available across all formats for Northants
Brandon Glover, the Netherlands fast-bowler who inspired their qualification for this year's T20 World Cup, has completed a move to Northamptonshire.
The 22-year-old is available across all formats after agreeing to a three-year deal with the County Ground club.
Glover played a key role in the Netherlands securing a berth at this year's World Cup in Australia, finishing as the leading wicket-taker and man-of-the-match in the final of the qualifying event in the United Arab Emirates.
No player took more than the 28 wickets Glover claimed in T20Is in 2019.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Glover will be reunited at Northants with good friend Ricardo Vasconcelos.
“I’m real excited to get playing in the UK.” Glover said.
“County cricket is world-renowned as being one of the best, it’s really competitive with some of the top players in the world taking part.
"I can’t wait to put myself up against these challenges and play high-class cricket in front of good support.”
The move also sees Glover link up with Chris Liddle, the new Northamptonshire bowling coach who has operated as a consultant with the Netherlands sporadically since 2018
“He’s been a pleasure to work with and his competitive nature and his wicket-taking ability stood out for me.” explained Liddle, who moved to Northants after leaving Gloucestershire.
“Brandon’s a young and very exciting bowler with genuine pace and a fantastic attitude.
"He’s a great addition to what is already an exciting bowling group we have here at Northants and gives us a real mix of variety and depth."
