Mohammad Hasnain asked to return to Pakistan from Caribbean Premier League

The young fast bowler has been called back by the Pakistan Cricket Board to play in the domestic Quaid-e-Azam Trophy

Mohammad Hasnain has been asked to return to Pakistan after the country’s national cricket board revoked his no-objection certificate to play in the Caribbean Premier League.

The 19-year-old fast bowler had joined Trinbago Knight Riders for the duration of the competition and had impressed in his initial outings.

He has delivered the quickest delivery in the tournament so far, being clocked at 155.1kph during Trinbago’s win against Jamaica Tallawahs.

However, he has been called back by the Pakistan Cricket Board to play in the domestic Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

The slingy-actioned seamer has been part of a perfect start for Kieron Pollard’s Knight Riders side. Dwayne Bravo was set to captain Trinbago, but suffered a pre-tournament injury that has ruled him out.

Hasnain took the crucial wickets of Chris Gayle and Chadwick Walton as Trinbago emerged on the right side of a high-scoring thriller against Tallawahs. Trinbago’s final score of 267 represents the highest score in CPL history.
