The South African international made her WBBL debut for the Strikers last season, scoring a team-leading 347 runs, including two half-centuries, at a strike rate of 105 to install herself as the side’s go-to number three batter.

At international level, the 22-year-old has made 33 T20I appearances for South Africa, scoring 588 runs at a strike rate of 114.61. In total, she has scored 1,873 runs in 97 career T20 appearances, including one century and nine fifties.

Commenting on her return to Adelaide, Wolvaardt said: "I’m so excited to be returning to the Strikers. I loved every second of the Big Bash last year. The tournament is fantastic to be a part of and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. It’s such a great group of girls and I felt like I learned so much from the coaches last season. I can’t wait to start!"
