Williamson leapt to prevent Ruturaj Gaikwad from picking off Josh Little for six in the 13th over of the contest at the Narendra Modi Stadium, but his right leg jarred into the turf
Kane Williamson appeared to suffer a bad knee injury on the first day of the new Indian Premier League season, in what could be a major blow to Gujarat Titans.
The New Zealand batsman landed awkwardly when attempting to take a catch on the midwicket boundary during the first innings of the Titans' opening fixture against Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad.

The Kiwi was in visible pain immediately, and was unable to collect the ball from inside the boundary rope.
He was treated pitchside by Gujarat's medical team before being helped off the field of play.
Defending champions Gujarat will be desperate for good news, but head coach Gary Kirsten was concerned by the incident.
He told host broadcaster Star Sports: "You don't like to see injuries like that from any team so we hope he's okay, but it didn't look good.
UNBELIEVABLE work from Kane Williamson to deny the boundary 😮👏
