India have made just one change for the first day-night Test against Australia at Adelaide Oval.

Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal, in the absence of Rohit Sharma, will open the innings despite coming under pressure from Shubman Gill.

Umesh Yadav is selected as the third seamer alongside Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

Ravi Ashwin in the sole spinner in the XI for first of four Tests in the series which make up part of the World Test Championship.

Australia are yet to confirm their team for the match as they await news on the fitness of Cameron Green.

The allrounder must come through a concussion test before being passed fit to make his Test debut.

Matthew Wade is in contention to open alongside Joe Burns, with David Warner and Will Pucovski unavailable due to injury.

The match in Adelaide takes place from December 17-21.
