Kumar Dharmasena has replaced Ruchira Palliyaguruge as a standing umpire for the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford.

Palliyaguruge had originally been appointed to join Marais Erasmus in the middle for the match between England and Australia, which is due to start on Wednesday.

However, he will now serve as TV umpire for the game, with Dharmasena partnering the South African Erasmus.

Dharmasena and Erasmus will also take charge of the final match of the series at The Oval.

Palliyaguruge, who is not on the ICC's elite panel, will man the controls in the TV umpire's room in the fifth Test.

Javagal Srinath is slated to be match referee for both of the two remaining fixtures. The series is locked at 1-1 going into Old Trafford.
