The South Africa spinner joins the final four matches after tournament-ending injuries to Mason Crane and Brad Taylor
Tabraiz Shamsi has joined Hampshire for the final four matches of their T20 Blast campaign.
Tournament-ending side injuries to Mason Crane and Brad Taylor has led to Hants enlisting the South Africa spinner.
Shamsi played for Northamptonshire during the 2017 Blast, taking four wickets at an average of 23.
In 113 domestic T20s the left-armer has taken 116 wickets.
The 29-year-old played twice for The Proteas at the 50-over World Cup but was wicketless against both India and Australia.

Hampshire are currently sixth in the South Group and must win at least two of their remaining group matches to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Available for the clash with Middlesex at Lord's on Thursday and the return clash next week, Shamsi has also been signed to face Essex, and Glamorgan.
Director of cricket Giles White said: "After losing both Mason and Brad to injuries, Shamsi bolsters the squad and offers an excellent spin option with international experience for the final four fixtures of our Vitality Blast campaign – we’re looking forward to having him with us, starting tomorrow against Middlesex.
