Former England captain Eoin Morgan elected as PCA president

Morgan, who retired from cricket in February 2023, made 379 international appearances for Ireland and England, scoring over 10,000 runs

Former England men's captain Eoin Morgan has been elected as president of the Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA).

He will succeed Charlotte Edwards, who captained England Women, and become the 10th individual to hold the role.

Morgan, who retired from cricket in February 2023, made 379 international appearances for Ireland and England, scoring over 10,000 runs and captaining the latter to World Cup glory in 2019.

Over the course of his career, which included over 15 years at Middlesex and overseas stints in the IPL, PSL, CPL, Big Bash and SA20, he scored over 24,000 runs in 854 appearances in all formats.

Since retiring, he has become a regular commentator for Sky Sports.
