ENGLAND

Lauren Winfield-Hill (16): A confident start before she edged Goswami behind in the fifth over – a big series, having regained her top-order berth 4

Tammy Beaumont (87*): Another fine knock for one of the world’s premier ODI batters – Beaumont passed fifty for a fourth successive 50-over innings, looking mostly untroubled throughout 9

Heather Knight (18): Bowled by a good delivery from Bisht, having looked in decent touch 4

Natalie Sciver (74*; 0-32): A brutal half century that took the game away from India, having earlier bowled tidily without reward – a player at the top of her game 8

Amy Jones (DNB): A good catch to dismiss Kaur off the bowling of Ecclestone and a sharp stumping off Brunt to get rid of rival wicketkeeper Bhatia 5

Sophia Dunkley (DNB): A quiet ODI debut for Dunkley, who was neither required with bat nor ball 5

Katherine Brunt (2-35): Took the big wicket of Verma – and enjoyed doing so, before returning at the end to claim a second scalp 6

Sarah Glenn (0-32): An economical spell from the leg-spinner, who was played nicely by India’s batters 5

Sophie Ecclestone (3-40): The pick of England’s bowlers, as she so often is. The wicket of Kaur forced India into a major rebuild before the dismissal of Raj prevented a late burst from the tourists 7

Anya Shrubsole (2-33): Took out the two left-handers in Mandhana and Sharma, both of whom might otherwise have caused England trouble; three maidens highlighted her control 7

Kate Cross (1-23): A solid job through the middle overs from the dependable seamer, who was rewarded with the wicket of Raut 6

INDIA

Smriti Mandhana (10): Bowled shortly after Verma’s dismissal by Shrubsole as she looked to manufacture a shot through the off-side 3

Shafali Verma (15): Looked primed for another assault on England’s bowling until she was undone by a short ball from Brunt 4

Punam Raut (32): Batted for plenty of time at No.3 but struggled to get going, which allowed England to restrict India 5

Mithali Raj (72): Played well for her 56th ODI half century but, like Raut, began so slowly that it became difficult for her teammates to turn a turgid start into a meaningful total 7

Harmanpreet Kaur (1): Another low score for Kaur on this tour, this time edging Ecclestone behind 3

Deepti Sharma (30; 0-32): Played nicely until missing a delivery from Shrubsole and arguably might be better used further up India’s order 6

Pooja Vastrakar (15; 0-23): Added a touch of late impetus with the bat but was dealt with comfortably when she came on to bowl 5

Taniya Bhatia (7): Kept nicely and caught Winfield-Hill, but had little opportunity with the bat 4

Shikha Pandey (3*; 0-30): Struggled for control and bowled successive front-foot no-balls; unable to make a breakthrough for her captain 4

Jhulan Goswami (1*; 1-25): The pick of India’s bowlers and dismissed Winfield-Hill while the ball was still new 6

Ekta Bisht (1-55): England attacked the left-arm spinner, even if she dismissed Knight with a beauty. Poonam Yadav is waiting in the wings… 4
