Sophie Ecclestone is hopeful of being offering a place in one of the three sides participating in the upcoming T20 Challenge.

The BCCI have confirmed that the competition, billed as the women's equivalent of the Indian Premier League, will go ahead in early November in the United Arab Emirates.

As yet, a schedule, teams and squads have yet to be confirmed. ESPNCricinfo understand a three-team, four-match event is in the pipeline between November 4-9.

Many of the world's best players will be missing as the tournament clashes with the Women's Big Bash League, which begins on October 25 in Sydney.

Ecclestone does not have a contract for the WBBL and is waiting anxiously for contact from the BCCI.

"I'm really hoping to be involved in it," the 21-year-old, who took six wickets in England's 5-0 whitewash of West Indies, told the media.

"I don't think we know exactly what's going on yet, or exactly when it's going to be - I think it might follow the men's - but a few of us would definitely be really interested in going if it did come up.

"The BCCI are very last-minute with their plans so we're still waiting for an email but hopefully a few of the girls get asked to go."

Sophie Ecclestone was part of the first NatWest Cricket Awards, a combination of the PCA awards and NatWest OSCAs, which honours both the community cricket club heroes and professional stars of the season in one event.
