Indian Premier League 2021: Full squads

Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan and Chris Woakes have withdrawn from the second half of the Indian Premier League.

The IPL, which was suspended on May 4 due to rising Covid-19 cases in both the tournament's bio-secure bubble and India itself, will resume on September 19 in the UAE.

The England trio, who represent Sunrisers Hyderabad (Bairstow), Punjab Kings (Malan), and Delhi Capitals (Woakes) were expected to fly to the UAE in the next few days in order to complete the six-day quarantine period stipulated by the BCCI.

However, they have told their respective franchises they are not available, choosing to put England first ahead of the T20 World Cup and upcoming Ashes series in Australia.

Their withdrawals bring the number of English players to pull of the IPL to five, following the earlier departures of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. Jofra Archer withdrew prior to the start of the tournament through injury.

10 English players are still due to participate in the IPL. They are Sam Curran, Moeen Ali (both Chennai Super Kings), Tom Curran, Sam Billings (Delhi Capitals), Eoin Morgan (Kolkata Knight Riders), Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid (Punjab Kings), Liam Livingstone (Rajasthan Royals), George Garton (RCB), and Jason Roy (Sunrisers).
