Rayudu was cited by match officials following the first one-day international between Australia and India at the SCG on Saturday, which the tourists lost by 34 runs
India's part-time offspinner Ambati Rayudu has been reported for a suspect bowling action.
Rayudu was cited by match officials following the first one-day international between Australia and India at the SCG on Saturday, which the tourists lost by 34 runs.
He will now be obliged to undergo testing within 14 days but can still be involved with the national team during that period, freeing him up to appear in the final two matches of the series.
“The match officials’ report, which was handed over to the India team management, cited concerns about the legality of the 33-year-old off-spinner’s bowling action,” an ICC statement read.
Rayudu claimed figures of 0-13 from two overs in his team's defeat in Sydney.
