Every match of the women's competition in The Hundred will be available to watch for free.

Sky Sports will broadcast all 34 matches via its YouTube channel.

A "significant" number of men's matches will also be accessible via the service.

All 68 games will be shown via the dedicated Sky Sports The Hundred channel, as well as Sky Sports Mix.

BBC TV have also acquired the rights to show the new 100-ball tournament. They have committed to showing 10 men's matches and up to eight women's games including both finals and the opening game.

The women's competition kicks off the action on July 21 when Oval Invincibles host Manchester Originals - with the men's match to follow the next days.

Thereafter, the rest of the schedule sees men's and women's doubleheaders staged on the same day.

The news is a major boost to the much-derided competition, which the ECB have cited as a key component of their Inspiring Generations strategy.

Furthermore, Sky have unveiled the broadcast team enlisted to cover the showcase, to mark 100 days until the tournament begins.

Former England international Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen lead the new additions to the broadcaster's regular team.

Current England stars Stuart Broad and Tammy Beaumont, who is scheduled to represent London Spirit, will also be on hand to lend expert analysis.

There is a strong international contingent also, with Wasim Akram, Kumar Sangakkara, Dinesh Karthik, Daren Sammy and Mel Jones all on board.

Sky stalwarts Nasser Hussain, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Rob Key, David Lloyd, Michael Atherton and Mark Butcher are also scheduled to appear.

Director of Sky Sports Cricket Bryan Henderson said: "We are so excited to help launch this fantastic new tournament this summer.

"It’s going to be an incredible standard of cricket played at some of the best grounds in the world and everyone’s invited. Hopefully, the competition will inspire many girls and boys to pick up a bat and ball.

"We’ve put together an amazing line up of presenters and commentators; there’s a completely fresh graphics look and some exciting new broadcast technology. We very much hope you enjoy the coverage."
