Former Worcestershire allrounder Hepburn's initial trial collapsed earlier this month when a jury failed to reach a verdict
Former Worcestershire allrounder Alex Hepburn will face a retrial over rape allegations, it has been confirmed.
Hepburn's initial trial collapsed earlier this month when a jury failed to reach a verdict.
Presiding judge Jim Tindal had told jurors that he would accept a majority of 10-2 but the panel were unable to come to such a decision.
The Crown Prosecution Service subsequently had two weeks to confirm whether or not they would pursue a retrial. That has now been confirmed for April 8 at Worcester Crown Court.
Hepburn, 23, is accused of raping a sleeping woman shortly after she had sex with his friend and team-mate Joe Clarke at the cricketers' flat in April 2017.
He denies the charges.
