When is it taking place?

Play is scheduled to begin at 11am local time on Friday, February 24 (10pm GMT on Thursday, February 23).

What are the squads?

England have made no changes to their travelling party and have no fresh injury news.

New Zealand quick Kyle Jamieson was ruled out of the series ahead of the first Test and is set to spend the next three or four months on the sidelines following a recurrence of a stress fracture in his lower back.

Matt Henry, who missed the series opener for family reasons, will be available for selection.

New Zealand: Tim Southee, Tom Blundell, Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Scott Kuggeleijn, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner, Neil Wagner, Kane Williamson, Will Young

England: Ben Stokes, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ben Foakes, Will Jacks, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Olly Stone

Who's got the form?

England ran riot in the opening Test, continuing the impressive form they showed over the English summer and in Pakistan.

Ben Stokes' side wrapped up a 267-run win on day four after bowling New Zealand out for just 126 in the second innings.

Under Brendon McCullum, England have now won 10 matches from a possible 11.

New Zealand, by contrast, haven't won a Test since February 2022 - in fact, they've only won five of their past 16 Tests stretching back to the start of 2021! In Wellington, they desperately need to find a way to halt England's batters.

What is the weather forecast?

There has been wind and rain in build up to the match in Wellington and unfortunately, the miserable weather looks set to plague the first three days of the second Test.

Sunshine is expected to return on days four and five and given England's penchant for quick results under McCullum and Stokes, a weather-affected draw may not be the only outcome on the table.

What are the odds?

England are favourites to win the second Test with odds of 5/6. New Zealand are at 2/1 to level the series while a draw is being offered at 4/1.

Where to watch?

For fans in the UK, BT Sport will have live coverage of the second Test on both BT Sport 1 and the BT Sport app.

In New Zealand, the match will be shown on Spark Sport.
