The allrounder will remain at the Lord's club until the end of the 2021 season following a campaign dominated by a recovery from injury
Middlesex have confirmed allrounder Martin Andersson has signed a new deal until the climax of the 2021 campaign.
The 23-year-old was laid low through much of last term as he recovered from a double stress fracture to the back suffered the prevous winter.
As a result, Andersson made just two senior Middlesex outings, purely as a batsman, against Lancashire and Derbyshire towards the back-end of the season.
"I am delighted to have signed an extension to my contract with Middlesex and am excited and looking forward to the next couple of years," the ex-Derbyshire loanee said.
"The support I’ve received from the club has been fantastic and my thanks go to them for the faith they’ve shown in me.”
Head coach Stuart Law added: "It’s great to have Martin confirmed for the next couple of seasons.
"Injury kept him out for most of last year, but he fought his way back into the first team for the last couple of matches, which shows me he has the mental strength to cope with adversity.
"A talented stroke player and a more than handy seamer, Martin will be an important part of the club for many years to come."
