Match-winning allrounder Dan Christian came back from a violent bout of food poisoning to help the Melbourne Renegades to victory over the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday.
Christian scored a vital 49 off just 27 balls as the Renegades managed to chase down the Strikers' total of 174, but it could have been completely different.
He went to bed on Saturday having dined out, but awoke around 4am suffering the symptoms of food poisoning.
The 35-year-old visited a local hospital where he was given an anti-nausea injection and dose of a saline solution to ensure he could feature in the Renegades fixture against the Strikers.

"I was a bit crook this morning, just a dodgy prawn, I think," Christian explained. "So I just went in for a bit of hydration and a jab to stop myself from feeling sick.
"I slept all afternoon, so I was fine by the time the game started. Lucky it wasn't an afternoon game. It was a pleasant time to bat this evening.
"I was a bit tired after the bowling innings – I was running from long-on to long-on there at one stage, so I was blowing a bit.
"But once you get out there the adrenaline kicks in, and you concentrate on the game I suppose."
