Expect to see county features intermingled among international analysis, quirky tales from the village green to the national arena, breaking news, colourful reporting, big opinions and, more than anything else, an absolute love of our game
Welcome to the new-look thecricketer.com.
Yes, the old black masthead, elephantised images and 13-story feed are no more. In their place come a more dynamic homepage, a more easily navigable site and more news and views from across the cricketing world.
So what can you expect from your visit?
Well, we'll respect and uphold the values The Cricketer has held dear since 1921, all the while appreciating that story-telling in our digital age moves in new and exciting ways, for audiences of all shapes, sizes and persuasions (the Test purist should feel as much at home with us as the T20 maniac).
Expect to see county features intermingled among international analysis, quirky tales from the village green to the national arena, breaking news, colourful reporting, big opinions and, more than anything else, an absolute love of our game.
There'll be something for everyone and, as a result, something that everyone disagrees on.
But that's fine. We want to encourage debate, so tell us what you like and what you don't (you can get hold of us via website@thecricketer.com).
The site itself will be forever evolving.

Over time, we’ll launch our Performance portal - full of coaching, conditioning, equipment and nutritional hints and tips - and we have further grand designs to edge into the education sector.
The Cricketer and thecricketer.com are siblings (and we get along pretty well) but, just like any family, we have our own styles and tastes.
So, while thecricketer.com will highlight some of the best its big brother has to offer each month, it is much more than an online platform for the famous magazine.
Subscribers will discover that the print product remains essential reading; you won't find 95 per cent of what appears each month stapled online and you will continue to see excellent value for your direct debit.
Visitors to thecricketer.com will discover a world of new, independent content, competitions, quizzes and enough cricket to watch the world go by.
So take a minute, flick through the site and see what you can find.
Hopefully you'll stop by again soon.
Best wishes,
Sam
