Six players – Alex Hales (Islamabad United), Joe Clarke (Karachi Kings), Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Tom Kohler-Cadmore (all Peshawar Zalmi), and James Vince (Quetta Gladiators) – were retained by their respective franchises on December 10, with the remaining players picked up in the draft on December 12.

Pace bowler Chris Jordan and opening batter Jason Roy joined Livingstone and Vince in the platinum category, signing for Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, respectively, while Somerset allrounder Lewis Gregory earned a gold contract with the Kings. He has previously represented Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in the competition.

Fast bowler Reece Topley is one of two English players at Islamabad United, alongside Hales.
