Kent's Joe Denly has been named PCA MVP for 2018
Joe Denly has been named as the Professional Cricketers' Association MVP after a remarkable 2018.
The Kent batsman, whose form across all three formats has resulted in an England Test summons for the trip to Sri Lanka, finished the county campaign with 1,754 runs in total.
He also claimed 54 wickets with his part-time legspin as Kent secured promotion to Division One of the County Championship, reached the Royal London One-Day Cup final and made it into the knockout stages of the T20 Blast.
Denly accrued 579 ranking points in the PCA's MVP race to comfortably top the standings and secure a cheque for £10,000.

Denly's superb form has earned him a Test call-up
"I’m absolutely delighted, it’s obviously a great accolade to get," he said.
"It’s a great award and it’s for the efforts with bat and ball, it certainly helped bowling a bit more this year. To win it just as a batter would be tough so it helped bowling a few overs.
"It hasn’t just been individually; as a team we have achieved a lot as well. Personally, to be honest it would have been nice to have ended the season better and to have scored a few more runs in the Championship to get past 1,000.
"However, across all forms I’ve been pretty consistent this year which has been pleasing and bowling a few overs has certainly helped in the MVP process."
