Dear recruiter, I am writing to introduce myself to you as I might be a good candidate for the future team of The Cricketer. I am a sports journalism student at the University of Brighton. I am available for both short-term/long term placement opportunities. Attaching my LinkedIn profile for more information. I have been following your company's news on social media and your website. I love the authenticity of your content and have been following progress for a long time. Here’s the reason that I’d be a great fit for this work. My coursework includes modules such as critical issues in sports journalism, practical journalism, and news journalism which I can most possibly use to contribute to the type of content The Cricketer produces. I would also like to explore and sharpen the skills which I have acquired such as SEO, Canva, and Adobe Premiere Pro. I have two years of editorial experience and have carried out a range of jobs not limited to contributing articles and linking content (both text as well as videos); editing, proofreading, authoring pre- and post-match analysis reports, and transcribing audio- which makes me a perfect fit for this role. Thank you for your time, and I sincerely hope you will consider me for the position.
