The wicketkeeper-batter scored 67 not out off 57 balls at the top of the order to help Gujarat Titans chase down 133 with five balls to spare

Wriddhiman Saha scored an unbeaten half-century to steer Gujarat Titans to a seven-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings.

The wicketkeeper-batter scored 67 not out off 57 balls, including eight fours and one six, from the top of the order, batting throughout the innings to see his side home with five balls to spare.

He enjoyed a productive opening stand with Shubman Gill, putting on 59 runs from 43 balls, while Matthew Wade (20 off 15) and David Miller (15 not out off 20) also chipped in with the bat.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a half-century for CSK

Matheesha Pathirana took 2 for 24 with the ball while Moeen Ali was the other wicket-taker.

Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad led the way with the bat for CSK, scoring 53 runs from 49 balls at the top of the order.

After losing opening partner Devon Conway in the third over, he added 57 runs (39 balls) with Moeen Ali and a further 48 runs (44 balls) with Narayan Jagadeesan.

However, when Gaikwad was removed by Rashid Khan (caught Wade) at the end of the 16th over, CSK’s hopes of a competitive total went with him, and they added only 20 runs off the remaining four overs.

Mohammad Shami led the way with the ball, taking 2 for 19 from his four overs, while Hardik Pandya (0 for 8) and Alzarri Joseph (1 for 15) contributed with economical figures.
