Mumbai: Kolkara Knight Riders 185-6, Mumbai Indians 186-5 - Mumbai Indians win by five wickets
Suryakumar Yadav showed signs of a return to form as Mumbai Indians picked up their second win of the season against Kolkata Knight Riders despite a fine hundred from Venkatesh Iyer.
The sides are now level on points after Mumbai chased down 186 with 14 balls to spare, with Yadav ending a desperate run of IPL form – during which he had managed 16 runs in three innings – with a 25-ball 43.
Ishan Kishan led from the front, smashing 58 off 25 balls, with five sixes and five fours, before being bowled by Varun Chakravarthy as MI started like a train to break the back of a difficult-looking run-chase.
In the end, it was anything but. Tim David piled on the misery for KKR with an unbeaten 24, which included an enormous six over the legside, while Tilak Varma (30) dropped relative anchor for his teammates to bat around as they secured a crucial win by five wickets.

Earlier, Iyer had become the first Knight Riders batter since Brendon McCullum to hit an IPL hundred, falling for 104 to end a knock that included nine sixes after coming to the crease in the second over.
Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin, made his IPL debut and opened the bowling, while Cameron Green dismissed Narayan Jagadeesan without scoring.
Iyer apart, KKR struggled, with Nitish Rana departing for five off 10 balls and Rinku Singh unable to repeat his recent heroics, though Andre Russell's 11-ball 21 gave some momentum to Rana's side before heading into the field. But MI found their mojo to ensure that was immaterial.
