The Cricketer takes a look at the next fixture in the 2022 Indian Premier League season
Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
The game will be played on Friday, April 15. The first ball will be bowled at 7:30pm local time (3pm GMT).
The match will be held at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Kolkata Knight Riders have had a mixed start to this year's IPL. They have won three out of five games but their two losses to Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have been worryingly convincing.
They have only passed 170 once so far, and even that was in vain as KKR failed to chase 215 against Delhi Capitals. The middle order has showed potential, with both Andre Russell and Pat Cummins hitting outrageous fifties, but the top four haven’t quite got going yet.
That said, KKR have been excellent with the ball so far, with Sunil Narine and Umesh Yadav have kept respective economies of 4.85 and 6.6.
Following back-to-back defeats, Sunrisers appear to have their campaign back on track with two convincing eight-wicket wins.
Like KKR, they are yet to put in a complete batting performance - they have only passed 160 once - although Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathi have both looked impressive.
Bowling has been a key strength for Hyderabad, as Marco Jansen, Washington Sundar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have all kept economies below eight.

Umesh Yadav
Yadav has been on fire for KKR, taking ten wickets at 13. He struggled in their last game against the Capitals, going at 12 an over, but will be a dangerous prospect for a Sunrisers side short on batting form.
Trying to change Hyderabad’s batting fortunes will be Tripathi, who has looked in good touch so far but is yet to put in a truly- eye-catching performance. He’s averaging 50 thanks to a couple of red-inkers and striking close to 170, but he’s yet to notch a half-century. A big knock for the number three could go a long way.
