Simon Katich has left Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Katich was brought in to work as an assistant coach to Tom Moody in the 2022 Indian Premier League, but has resigned his post just six weeks prior to the start of the season.
In a statement to Indian media outlet Cricbuzz, Sunrisers said the decision was linked to bubble fatigue and family matters.
"He would have been needed for two and half to three months here, including for the pre-IPL camps and he felt it was too long to be inside a controlled bio-bubble. He has also mentioned about family issues and we have agreed to release him," a spokesperson said. "We will be announcing a replacement soon."

However, a report in the Australian media contradicts that suggestion.
According to the West Australian, Katich is said to be unhappy with Sunrisers' work in the IPL auction, which was held in Bangalore over the weekend.
The report claims that the former Australia international batsman felt that pre-auction plans had been disregarded.
Katich was present in Bangalore for the auction, alongside Moody and other Sunrisers staff members, including Muttiah Muralitharan and Brian Lara.
