An unnamed Indian Premier League player has reported a corrupt approach, leading to a BCCI investigation.
The 13th edition of the franchise competition is ongoing in the United Arab Emirates due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is being hosted in bio-secure conditions in the UAE, making it difficult for fixers to access players and teams.
BCCI anti-corruption officials have focused on possible online approaches during this tournament.
One player, whose identity, nationality and franchise has not been revealed for to confidentiality purposes, believes he was subject to an approach and it was immediately registered with the authorities.
"We are tracking him," BCCI ACU chief Ajit Singh told the Press Trust of India. "It will take some time."
All players were briefed regarding the anti-corruption protocols before the tournament, a senior BCCI official has since confirmed.
"The best part is that the player who was approached immediately sensed that something was fishy," the official added to PTI.
"He had a suspicion and he immediately shared his concerns with the ACU.
"Every player, even those who have come from the U-19s are well aware about each and every anti-corruption protocols."
