Who is playing? When is it? How can I watch it? The Cricketer provides all the information ahead of the climax to the 13th edition of the competition...
The climax to the 13th edition of the delayed Indian Premier league between reigning champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
The final takes place on Tuesday, November 10. The first ball is scheduled to be sent down at 2pm GMT, 6pm local time or 7:30pm IST.
Due to the tournament being moved from India because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dubai's International Cricket Stadium (or the Sports City Stadium) will host the final for the first time. It will just the second time the showcase match has been played outside India after the 2009 final was staged at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Seeking to become just the second side to claim back-to-back titles - Chennai Super Kings are the only side to do it in 2010 and 2011 - Mumbai Indians are the favourites heading into Tuesday's final.
Their route to the showcase event mightn't have been an imperious as their 2017 campaign when they won 10 out of their 14 matches but there is plenty to suggest a fifth title is on the way.
In their ranks are two of the highest three wicket-takers and two of the five biggest run-scorers. Lasith Malinga's absence has gone largely unnoticed, with Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult having combined to claim 49 scalps across the 14 games. Jofra Archer is the only seamer with a lower economy rate to bowl more than 10 overs than the former.

Can Kagiso Rabada continue his blistering form?
Shikhar Dhawan will no doubt be key as Capitals go in search of their maiden title in their first-ever final. The Indian has arguably been the best batter of the tournament, only KL Rahul has scored more but Dhawan's two centuries and four fifties mean he returns to Dubai as a man firmly in form. But his four ducks act as a warning that he can't be over-relied upon.
Nevertheless, the final promises to be an epic bowl-off between the two best attacks around. Capitals can boast the leading wicket-taker Kagiso Rabada, the economical Axar Patel, the fastest Anrich Nortje and canny operators Ravi Ashwin and Marcus Stoinis.
Mumbai Indians reached their fifth final in 13 years after finishing top of the group stage. They won nine of their 14 group matches, including both games against Delhi Capitals.
Shreyas Iyer's side finished as runners-up thanks to an impressive start to the competition. They prevailed in seven of their first nine games, though won just one of the last five to claw their way into the knock-out stage.
Passage into the semi-finals was not secured until a comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the penultimate match of the group stage.
But their uncertain form bled into Qualifier 1 when MI prevailed for a third time thanks to a comfortable 57-run win in Dubai.
Ishan Kishan, one of the breakout stars of the tournament, hit an inspired 55 as Indians put on 200 for 5. Capitals were reduced to 0 for 3 in eight balls and never recovered despite Marcus Stoinis' 65.
The result left the four-time quarter-finalists needing to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 to progress to their first final. Stoinis (3-26) and Rabada (4-29) were the heroes as Capitals won for just the second time in the last seven to set-up a fourth meeting with the defending champions.

Quinton de Kock has been a pivotal figure for Mumbai Indians
Dry conditions are anticipated throughout. No time has been lost to rain in the 59 previous matches. The only occasion all matches avoided delays due to inclement weather was in 2010. Mumbai Indians were beaten in that final by CSK.
