The former India captain and current BCCI president was admitted to a Kolkata hospital on December 28 but has returned home, where he will isolate for two weeks
Sourav Ganguly has been discharged from hospital following treatment for Covid-19.
The 49-year-old was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday (December 28) after suffering from a mild fever and subsequently testing positive for the virus.
Ganguly, who is double vaccinated, was described as stable upon his arrival and has now been released home having received monoclonal antibody cocktail therapy as part of his care.
He will spend the next two weeks in isolation and be under constant observation by Dr Saptarshi Basu and Dr Soutik Panda, though his condition is described as "haemodynamically stable".
"We have discharged Ganguly this afternoon. He will have to be in home isolation for the next fortnight under doctors' observation. After that the next course of treatment will be decided," a hospital official told PTI.
A former India captain and the current BCCI president, Ganguly was admitted to hospital twice earlier this year and underwent emergency angioplasty twice after complaining of cardiac issues.
