A urine sample provided by the 27-year-old Bangladesh international was found to contain Clomifene
Shohidul Islam has been suspended from all cricket-related activities for 10 months after breaching the ICC's anti-doping code.
An out-of-competition urine sample provided by the 27-year-old was found to contain Clomifene, which is classified as a prohibited substance by WADA.
The pace bowler admitted to the violation, with the ICC accepting he had inadvertently ingested the substance which was contained in his prescribed medication.
His suspension has been backdated to May 28, meaning he will be eligible to return to cricket on March 28, 2023.
Islam has made one T20I appearance for Bangladesh, taking the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan against Pakistan in November 2021.
Across his career, he has made 99 appearances in all formats, taking 182 wickets. He has also scored one first-class century and four half-centuries.
