Former Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt has been appointed as a selection consultant by the Pakistan Cricket Board, his first official role since being convicted of spot-fixing.
The 39-year-old is one of three consultants, alongside former Pakistan internationals Kamran Akmal and Rao Iftikhar, who will serve under chief selector Wahab Riaz.
The trio will start their roles with immediate effect.
Butt was sent to prison in 2011 following a conspiracy to deliberately bowl no balls during a Test match against England at Lord's the previous year.

He was also banned from playing for 10 years by the ICC, with five years suspended.
Bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were also punished for their involvement.
The appointments follow a period of considerable change within cricket in Pakistan since the conclusion of the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup.
Babar Azam has stepped down as captain in all three formats, with Shan Masood and Shaheen Shah Afridi replacing him in Test and T20I cricket, respectively. His ODI replacement has not yet been confirmed.
Elsewhere, Mohammad Hafeez has been appointed as team director, with Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal added to the bowling coaching staff and former England international Adam Hollioake serving as batting coach for the next two months.
