Lord's will be the stage for the 2023 and 2025 World Test Championship finals, the ICC have confirmed.

The London venue has been approved to host the next two finals following an ICC board meeting in Birmingham.

Southampton's Ageas Bowl was the site of the first WTC finale, between New Zealand and India in 2021, but it will move to the Home of Cricket from next year.

The final decides the direction of the World Test Championship, and involves the two teams who top the league standings at the end of the two-year cycle.

South Africa and Australia currently occupy the top two spots in the standings.

England, despite their excellent summer in red-ball cricket under the new management of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum, sit seventh.
