Second ODI: Wednesday, February 9 - Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (1pm local time, 7:30am GMT)
Third ODI: Friday, February 11 - Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (1pm local time, 7:30am GMT)

Third T20I: Sunday, February 20 - Eden Gardens, Kolkata (7pm local time, 1:30pm GMT)
Rohit Sharma will captain India, as Virat Kohli was removed as skipper in December last year. Sharma missed the previous tour of South Africa due to a hamstring injury.
The opening batsman, who averages close to 50 with the bat in ODIs and 33.30 in T20Is, will be keen to start his reign of the India side in good fashion, while also keeping up personal form.
India’s formidable bowling attack was anything but in South Africa, as they took just 14 wickets with the ball across the three-match series.
Jasprit Bumrah managed to claim five scalps, but the rest of the attack left a lot to be desired, and his absence in the upcoming series will mean the other bowlers will need to step up. The likes of Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar will be desperate to have an impact against the West Indies.
One member of India’s bowling cohort, Shardul Thakur, was in good form with the bat in South Africa, hitting 90 runs for no loss in his two innings. While he has been in top form in that aspect, he has struggled somewhat with the ball, taking 1 wicket for 107 runs across the two ODIs he featured in during the South Africa series.

Thakur will be desperate to bring his ODI bowling average of 40.21 down, as he currently averages more with the ball than the bat in the format. Though in T20Is he averages 23.83 with ball in hand, showing he can perform at that level, something he will be keen to enforce in the T20s.
Kieron Pollard will captain the West Indies in both the ODI and T20 series’, as he has done since 2019 when available. The West Indies are in somewhat of a transitional period, as the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Daren Sammy and Chris Gayle are no longer international cricketers. Pollard will be keen on blooding new players, and making sure his side are competitive going forwards.
Kemar Roach returns to the ODI side, having last appeared in the format in 2019 against this series’ opponents India. Roach took figures of 1 for 53 from seven overs in his only game that series, so he will want want to have a greater impact on his return to the side.
Batters Nkrumah Bonner and Brandon King have both been recalled to the ODI squad. The pair have shown themselves as capable batters across formats, with Bonner averaging 41.21 in Test matches, and Brandon King beginning to establish himself in the T201 side, having hit his second half-century in the format in the first of a five match series against England in January.
